Created in 2003, the AEQT PPA is an essential tool for communication and, above all, dialogue between the chemical sector and the surrounding community. In addition to the AEQT PPA, which represents all member companies, other member companies have their own panel.

All of them are instruments of encounter and communication between civil society and the local chemical sector.
They are made up of representatives of the local society, precisely with the aim of being a small-scale reproduction of the environment: thus, the AEQT Panel is made up of around twenty citizens representing different social and economic backgrounds, as well as residents of the neighborhoods and municipalities in the chemical industry’s area of influence. This group periodically meets with representatives of the AEQT and the sector to discuss topics of mutual interest. In addition, experts in the field are occasionally invited to speak at the session.

The PPA meetings serve not only to enable the chemical sector to inform the panelists—and, through them, the sectors and municipalities they represent—about matters related to the industry, but also—above all—to strengthen dialogue in the opposite direction: as a channel through which the industry receives input regarding the opinions and concerns of society. A firsthand assessment that is invaluable and allows the sector to take it into account when adapting its actions and strategies.
